Philanthropists admit that they are forced to spend all their energy and resources fighting the raiders.

For more than six months now, the warehouses of the All-Ukrainian Charitable Foundation “Peace and Kindness” have been blocked in Kyiv. Some of the humanitarian aid has already been looted, and some has been damaged. According to the portal “Komentarii”, this was reported by “UNN“.

Vice-President of the Peace and Kindness Charitable Foundation Oleksandr Tsverkovych The article states that the owners of the property and the legal tenants of the warehouses – the All-Ukrainian Charitable Foundation “Peace and Kindness” – are being prevented from entering by people who are pursuing the goal of making millions of hryvnias worth of profit on humanitarian aid.

“Today we are forced to spend all our energy and resources fighting raiders who have influence and patrons in the government. They just want to make a shameful profit on the humanitarian aid,” said Alexander Tsverkovich, Vice President of the CF, “Tons of food that should have been delivered to 15-20 thousand Ukrainians are spoiling in warehouses, about 30 hospitals continue to wait for months for the equipment they need ‘yesterday’, not to mention special equipment for the military and rescuers.”

The benefactors have repeatedly appealed for help to law enforcement agencies – the police, the State Bureau of Investigation, the court – but so far this has not yielded any results, and the investigation is being delayed. According to Oleksandr Zverkovych, only once did the foundation’s employees manage to get into the warehouse, but together with the police, they were outraged by what they saw:

“We saw that a lot of medical equipment that we were preparing to donate to hospitals had been stolen, and many food products intended for people from the de-occupied territories had spoiled,” said Tsverkovich.

Some of the items were donated by foreign benefactors who simply refuse to understand our explanations that we cannot get into our own warehouses and deliver such essential items during the war.
