The boy's mother asked for help:
"My son, Misha Kurylenko. From birth, doctors diagnosed the consequences of an organic lesion of the central nervous system, 2-sided pyramidal insufficiency, delay in psychomotor and speech development.
When the child was five months old, they began to notice that, in addition to lethargy and irritability, the child does not react to toys, does not look into the eyes and reacts poorly to the light. We turned to an ophthalmologist, who made another diagnosis - congenital cataracts of both eyes. In seven months in Kharkov city clinical hospital No. 14 named after Professor A.L. Hirshman underwent two operations to remove cataracts on both eyes. The first operation on the right eye took place in July 2016, in September 2016 the operation on the left eye, but vision was not fully restored due to the fact that the eyes are not ready for the installation of eye "crystals". In order to fully restore vision after the child reaches the age of 3, it is necessary to carry out several more operations to install lenses in both eyes and carry out subsequent stages of treatment.
The child's condition does not improve, it is constantly observed at the neuropathologists of the ODKB No. 1 in Kharkov. Consequences of organic damage to the central nervous system led to a delay in the pace of static and psycho-speech development, the child does not walk, does not sit on his own, does not play with toys, almost all the time he is either lying down or in a semi-sitting position, since the muscle tissue does not develop.
Also, the child was observed by specialists of KZOZ "Regional Children's Clinical Hospital" of Kharkov, underwent an echocardiogram, NSG and EEG examination - a decrease in the functional activity of the cerebral cortex was established. He was discharged with a diagnosis of subcompensated hydrocephalus, delayed psychomotor development. Deficiency anemia of moderate severity.
In 2017, Misha was examined at the Kharkiv interregional specialized medical and genetic center - the center for rare diseases. In this center, we were monitored by geneticists for a month. The child underwent numerous tests, examinations were performed, and changes in triglycerides and calcium in the blood were noted.
On December 29, 2017, the baby was examined at the Kharkiv City Clinical Hospital of Emergency and Emergency Medicine named after Professor O.I. Meshchaninov, where an MRI was performed and a diagnosis of central nervous system hyperplasia was made, hypoplasia of the corpus callosum and vermis of the cerebellum, spastic tetraparesis, ataxic syndrome, primary underdevelopment of speech.
Medical treatment was prescribed to improve the child's condition. Doctors recommended rehabilitation, massage, physical exercises, and hippotherapy.
When the child was three years old, two more surgeries were performed to establish the lenses, the surgery was performed in the same hospital named after Professor A.L. Hirshman, at the age of three, the child began to have convulsions, he was examined at the Regional Children's Clinical Hospital in Kharkiv, where he was prescribed complex treatment.
The child's condition has not improved, there is only hope for rehabilitation, I learned from the media about the rehabilitation center of hippotherapy "Rostok zhizni" in Ukraine, where we have already completed two rehabilitation courses. The treatment we underwent at the center gave positive results. The child began to hold his head well, sits and even crawls a little, I would really like to continue our rehabilitation there so that the child can stand on his feet.
